How to use Remove Password from PDF

  1. Choose a PDF you own

Add the PDF you are allowed to unlock. The original file is kept unchanged.

  2. Enter its current password

For an encrypted PDF, enter the password that already opens the document. Use Show password if you need to check what you typed.

  3. Remove the password

Create an unlocked copy in your browser. If the password is incorrect, correct it and try again; an error does not provide a successful download.

  4. Check the saved copy

Download the result and reopen it to confirm the pages are present and it opens without asking for the old password.

Questions before you start

Can I remove a PDF password I do not know?

No. This tool requires the current password for an encrypted PDF. It does not guess or recover unknown passwords. Ask the document sender for the password or an unlocked copy.

What happens if I enter the wrong password?

The tool shows an error and does not offer an unlocked result. Correct the password and try again with the same PDF.

Are the PDF or password sent to a server?

No. Password removal runs locally in your browser. Your original file is unchanged; the downloaded result is a separate copy.
