How It Works
Step 1: Drop PDF Files (or a Folder)
Drag a stack of unstructured PDFs — invoices, statements, contracts, CVs — into the browser. Files stay on-device; no upload.
Step 2: AI Suggests a Filename
A local model reads the first pages, picks an entity, date, and document type, and proposes a clear name like `2026-04-Invoice-Acme-7421.pdf`.
Step 3: Review & Save
Approve, edit, or override each suggestion. Download the renamed batch as a ZIP or save back to the original folder via the browser file picker.
Why Use This Tool
- Turns folders full of `Document(3).pdf` and `scan_2026-04.pdf` into self-describing filenames in minutes
- Local AI keeps invoices, salary slips, and patient records private — never sent to an LLM provider
- Batch-friendly: rename hundreds of PDFs without paying for a desktop “PDF organizer” app
- Plays well with our merge / split / OCR tools: well-named inputs make every downstream workflow saner
Common Use Cases
Clean up Downloads folders before tax filing, normalize vendor invoices for an accountant handover, organize HR resumes by candidate name and date, and tidy up research-paper hoards by author and year. Solo founders rename a year of business PDFs in one sitting; legal assistants restructure case folders for archival; doctors rename multi-year prescription PDF dumps for chronological review.
