Can I extract photos embedded in a PDF without uploading?

Yes. Use [PDF to Images](/tools/pdf-to-images) on your machine — bytes stay in RAM until you download. Check DevTools → Network: there should be no PDF POST to third parties.

Does this grab vector logos?

Raster images export as PNG/JPEG. Pure vector art may not exist as an embedded bitmap — use PDF Editor or convert whole pages at high DPI instead.

Will transparency survive?

PNG preserves alpha when the source bitmap had it. Flattened print PDFs may bake backgrounds — compare zoomed pixels to the source.

Huge image catalogs — practical limit?

You are bounded by browser RAM, not vendor tiers. Close other tabs; export in page ranges if the tab spikes memory.
