CBR/CBZ → PDF → one volume
Convert archives to PDF offline (Calibre, etc.), then merge in ExactPDF for a single table of contents friendly file — only for content you have rights to.
OCR before merge?
If search matters on-device, run OCR PDF per chapter, then merge. Huge page counts: merge in batches, then merge the batches.
